Measuring Guide

Our Measuring Tips

Wear your undergarments while measuring. Do not measure over clothing. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor. Pull it snugly around your body without slack. We recommend visiting a local tailor for professional measurements.

Bust This is different from your bra size. Wear the bra you plan to pair with your dress. Let your arms hang naturally at your sides. Run the tape across the fullest part of your bust.

Waist Locate your natural waistline. This is the narrowest part of your torso, roughly 1 inch above your belly button. Do not pull the tape too tight; leave a little room for comfort.

Hips Find the widest point of your hips, approximately 7 inches below your natural waist. Position the tape over both hip bones.

Shoulder Hollow to Floor (Barefoot) Stand straight with your feet together. Measure barefoot. Start at the hollow between your collarbones, then run the tape straight down to the floor. If you will wear high heels, we will add an extra 5 cm for custom floor-length and train gowns.

Height Stand straight with your feet together. Measure barefoot. Measure from the top of your head straight down to the floor.

Shoulder Width Measure across your back, from the edge of one shoulder joint to the matching point on the other side.

Arm Length Measure from your shoulder point down to your wrist.

Armhole Start at the top of the shoulder, go down the front past the underarm, then back up along the rear side of the shoulder.

Wrist Circumference Measure around the widest part of your wrist.
